A song reflecting on the perils of playing board games at high altitude

Acclaimed artist and designer Micah Purnell has produced this piece of work in response to the pandemic. This is my response.

My latest musical offering is a critique on populism. One reviewer said “it’s quite catchy”. Yeah Yeah Yeah

Worth listening to not least because I don’t sing on it.

It was a couple of years ago when out walking the dog and this idea came into my head almost fully formed. Since then I have worked sporadically on it and today, finally, I have completed it. I hope you enjoy it.

I have a colleague called Gwen who is leaving but this isn’t about him or anyone who exists. I made it up and I used the name because it sounds a bit ‘when’ as well as being the subjects name.

Naming tracks is virtually impossible to do well. I found this lurking on my iPad and thought you needed to hear it.

I have been messing about with a idea for a crooning style song called Lockdown Lover (I’ll take intensive care of you) and this is as good as it is going to get so here it is.

This is the further development of something I have been working on in collaboration with my son Tom who is playing the drums.

This title is the brilliant art concept by Micah Purnell. I am currently composing something in response to the idea.
